Obverse: MAG MAGNENTIUS AVG. Bare head of Maxentius, draped, right.
Reverse: BEATITVDO PVBLICA. Magnentius in curule chair left, holding sceptre and raising right hand. Exergue mintmark: AQT.

Notes: Celebrating his Consulship of 351 (Vagi). An extremely rare coin, very few examples known. None (since 2000) in any major auction indexed by ACSearch. Only a pair of photographed examples discovered in our research, both in comparably rough condition: the Wildwinds example (ex-Hauck & Aufhäuser, auction 20, Lot 583, Oct 2007) and one sold by Marc Breitsprecher on VCoins (n.d.).
