Obverse: DN VALENS PF AVG. Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right.
Reverse: GLORIA ROMANORVM. Valens advancing right, holding labarum decorated with Chi-rho and dragging captive, hands bound behind his back, by the hair. •ASISC.
